She received her Bachelor's degree at Brigham Young University-Idaho She received her master's degree at Utah Valley University. She received two associates degrees at Butte Community College. Lourdes worked in an elementary school and counseling agency in Idaho as a Bachelor level social work

intern. She worked as a liaison at an after school program in an elementary school in California. She worked for years as a respite care provider working with children and adults with autism spectrum disorder. She has experience working in mental health clinics as a therapist.
Lourdes is trained in TF-CBT, Psychological first aid, domestic violence and trauma informed interventions. Therapy models that she uses are Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Emotion Focused Therapy. She enjoys using different models to meet the client's needs. She uses a holistic and humanistic approach with her clients. She believes in building rapport by using empathy and creating a safe space. She believes everyone's voice matters, and everyone should be able to use their voice to express and advocate for themselves and others. She offers her sessions in English and Spanish.

Lourdes has experience working with clients with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, depression, life stressors, body image, and anxiety. She has experience bringing support to individuals who have a family member who struggles with their mental health.
In her free time, Lourdes enjoys hiking, going to the gym, dancing, playing pickleball, spending time with friends and family.
