Clinically, he specializes in treating couples experiencing relationship distress, and couples contemplating separation and divorce. Administratively, he serves as Zest for Life Counseling's clinical director and manages the ongoing clinical training of our providers and ensures the use of best-practice, evidence-based interventions. |
Dr. Spencer earned a Doctorate in Human Development and Family Science and a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma State University. His bachelor's degree is in Family Studies from Weber State University.
Additionally, Dr. Spencer is an Assistant Professor within the Behavioral Science Department at Utah Valley University where he teaches courses in the Family Science as well as the Marriage and Family Therapy Master's program. He currently serves as the on-campus clinic director of UVU's Marriage and Family Therapy program. Todd is passionate about relationship education and is a Certified Family Life Educator who actively publishes and presents relationship research at national and regional conferences.
Dr. Spencer has been married for 10 years to his sweetheart and loves his 3 awesome boys. His primary hobbies include playing loud guitars and drums, while proudly embracing his nerdy board game obsession.
