Clinically, Kylie provides mental health services at our American Fork office and provides clinical supervision for graduate intern therapists.
Kylie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Family Studies and a Master of Social Work degree from Utah Valley University. She is currently completing a Doctor of Social Work degree with an emphasis in Advanced Clinical Practice from the University of Kentucky.
Kylie has spent the majority of her professional career working with children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, self-harm, sexuality, perinatal mood disorders, and insecure attachment within the family unit. She strives to create a safe and uplifting therapeutic environment through utilizing a strength-based, positive, and affirming approach. Kylie is trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), SBIRT, and patient-centered Play Therapy. She enjoys working with both individuals and families as they work towards building a more healthy, resilient life.
Kylie began her student career working with families in the community. She taught psychoeducational classes to children and parents that focused on improving family communication and relationships, while also providing out-patient mental health services. Such experiences cultivated her passion and inspired her to remain in the private practice setting and
continue her focus of helping both the individual and family.
In addition to working with Zest for Life Counseling, Kylie teaches as an adjunct professor within the Family Science program at Utah Valley University.
Kylie is a Utah native and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, kids, and dogs which usually entails playing sports, hiking, or training for the next Ragnar or Spartan Race.
